Funding supports collaborative partnership with Sentara Health

Virginia Beach, VA (August 24, 2023) – Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring an independent and vital Virginia Beach volunteer rescue system, is pleased to announce a generous contribution of $50,000 from Sentara Health to assist with recruitment and retention.

The $50,000 donation from Sentara will be utilized by the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation to support our community awareness campaigns, which will impact the annual number of applicants as EMS providers and admin support volunteers to serve VB Rescue. By increasing the number of volunteers serving the system, it also impacts the health care industry and individuals seeking opportunities to give back to their community.

“The Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation is immensely appreciative for Sentara’s partnership with the Sentara Cares support. This donation means that we can best serve our VB Rescue Squad partners, which makes for a stronger and safer community as a whole,” said Gina Benefiel, Executive Director of the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation.

This contribution from Sentara reinforces their shared commitment to creating healthier communities through partnerships with organizations and individuals.
