Virginia Beach, VA (August 5, 2026) – Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation (VBRSF), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring an independent, vital Virginia Beach volunteer rescue system, is excited to announce the inaugural Heroes Benefit & Comedy Night on September 10, 2026, at the Military Aviation Museum.
The inaugural event will bring together business and civic leaders, first responders, and community members who champion the VB Rescue cause for a night of celebration, laughter, and giving to honor the nine volunteer rescue squads and Marine Rescue Team that call Virginia Beach home.
“As an ALS volunteer with VB Rescue myself, I can say that these are your neighbors, coworkers, and peers that keep coming back because they felt the call to serve their community and save lives,” said Catie Jefferson, Executive Director of the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation. “At the Foundation, we’re honored to provide support to the squads through programs like grants, events, and bringing in new volunteers. But we cannot do it without community support.”
The Heroes Benefit & Comedy Night will feature Heroes Off Duty, a hilarious collection of first responders whose “mission is to save lives with laughter.” Tickets to the event are available at tinyurl.com/vbrsfheroes26.
