In March, Virginia Beach’s Emergency Response System, including all ten volunteer rescue squads, the EMS Department and the Fire Department, underwent an intensive inspection from the state Office of EMS, which is required every two years. It involves a thorough inspection of every ambulance, squad/rescue truck, zone car, engine and ladder, along with an extensive checklist of reports and other paperwork gathered and submitted months prior to the inspection.
Led by Division Chief Kevin Lipscomb, this year’s inspections were accomplished safely and efficiently, and the system received very high marks. Congrats to everyone involved!
