July 13, 2023

Hire Vets Now

For the first time VB Rescue participated in a military recruitment event at Oceana military base with Hire Vets Now, since joining Virginia Values Veterans.

We were able to talk with transitioning and retired military about volunteering with VB Rescue. This event was a great success, and we can’t wait to continue our involvement in future Hire Vets Now events.

Thanks to our volunteer Anna Russell, Assistant Squad Commander with Davis Corner who helped promote VB Rescue.

July 25-27, 2023

Virginia Fund Raising Institute Conference

The Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation is pleased to have sponsored a trip to the 2023 Virginia Fund Raising Institute in Richmond for leaders within VB Rescue.

This is the second year we have been able to provide this trip to the leadership of VB Rescue. Representatives from six of the volunteer rescue squads and the volunteer Marine Rescue Team serving VB Rescue joined the Foundation at this conference.
